Where is Paint-A-Pot located?
Paint-A-Pot is located at 942 Learning Way, Tallahassee, FL 32306, in the Askew Student Life Center (ASLC).
Where should I park?
A permit is required to park on FSU's campus, at all times. You may acquire a visitor's permit through the FSU Transportation and Parking Services.
What's the difference between acrylic paint and glaze?
- Acrylic paint is not food safe and cannot be used on items intended for eating or drinking from. Pieces can be taken with you at the end of the event.
- Glaze is food, dishwasher, and microwave safe. Glazed items will need to be picked up on a future date after the event to allow for time to fire (bake) the pieces in a kiln (ceramics oven).
Do I need to bring anything?
Nope! We provide the ceramics, paint, brushes, glaze, and firing—all you need to bring is your creativity.
How long can I paint?
We provide a two-week painting time, but most pieces can be finished in a single session.
Do I need to register ahead of time?
No pre-registration is required—just walk in during open hours.
How do I make a group reservation?

When will my glazed piece be ready?
Most pieces are ready for pick-up in 3–4 days. Larger or more detailed items may take longer.
What if I can’t pick up my piece right away?
We’ll hold completed projects for a limited time—just ask our staff for details.
